Advancement Picnic and Rocket Launch June 5, 1-4 pm

We will be having our advancement ceremony and annual rocket launch on Saturday, June 5th from 1:00-4:00. It will be a pot luck picnic and we will announce who should bring what in the next few days.

We will be purchasing some rockets and motors for everyone. The cost per scout will be $15 which includes two launches. This amount barely covers the rocket and motors. (We're ordering bulk with a scout discount to keep the cost down as much as possible.) Let me know if any siblings want to launch- we will have a few extra rockets (additional $15).

We will be purchasing some rockets that are easily assembled since we need to put them together in the park. A couple of families will be bringing their rocket launch pads.

Scouts are welcome to buy their own rockets and motors. If you choose to do this be sure to assemble them before launch day. Also be aware that not all rockets use the same motors so you'll want to buy those as well.

Let me know if you have any questions. This event has been a blast in years past. Let's hope for a calm, dry day.

Pillsbury/Windom Park Carnival, Friday June 4

We will be setting up the mini-golf game for the carnival. Families are encouraged to attend and work a shift at the booth. Please come in Uniform with the kids. Kids can wear a shirt underneath to strip off uniform shirt after shift.

All kids working the booth will receive 5, count them FIVE, free tickets after working the booth for 1/2 hour. Parents, this is our JUNE event for Pack Summertime award. For the pack to qualify we need to hold an event in each of the summer months (June, July, and August) where 2/3rds of our membership in each den attend. This carnival is our event for June.

The Pillsbury/Windom Park Carnival runs from 5-8pm. We will need help throughout the event, but earlier is usually needed more than later. 8pm we will break down, help Bill Saurerwin to load the Mini-golf in his van/truck for storage, and then head to Red Robin for our traditional Carnival Celebration.
